The tonsils have left the building

Prior to surgery we talked  that we were going to go to the hospital, he would take a nap and the doctor would take the owies out of his mouth. We toured the facility the night prior so that he would be familar with his surroundings. The morning of surgery we left the house around 6:45 and made our way to the Surgical Tower.  J was pretty sleepy yet, but ok. We arrived and had our car parked by the valet, to which J responded "hey, get out of my car!".  We got to our room and changed into our "doctor clothes" and waited for surgery.

Waiting for surgery to get started

Around 8:45 the nurses were outside the room, ready to take J back to the operating room .  We looked at J and said "it's time to go the sleeping room, do you want to bring you blanket with you for you nap?" He responded with a "yes" and off daddy and J went to the operating room.  Eric put him on the operating table and J watched "Diego" for about 30 seconds and was asleep.  The tonsils were large and size and we were told the adenoids were generous in their size as well.

The day after surgery J ate some spaghetti noodles and had a first it was the first time I have ever seen him clean his plate.
The day after surgery and his clean plate.

2+ weeks later the appetite is much better and he rarely gags on his food!
